Should people edit out MTG tags for pre release cards that are not yet in gatherer?
asked a question for that on meta

Probably. It's not valuable to have broken links in a question, and you can just put them back later
Oh, wait, I see the difference. You don't own the card

Your answer sounds good, will wait to see what other opinions are out there. This was sparked by an edit that not only removed the mtg tag but was also adding formatting to the card name with *

Q: Magic The Gathering auto card for pre release cards

Joe WHow should auto card be handled on cards that have been previewed for an upcoming set but are not yet in gatherer? Should the auto card be used with the knowledge that it will be broken until the set releases or should that wait until it is released? As a side note if auto card is done on a pre ...

@JoeW I think what matters here is whether you know what is the right thing to do here, more than knowing whether someone else's particular edit was good or not.

hi
can anyone explain this new london mulligan rule for mtg for me?

8:55 PM
Right which is why I asked, just mentioned the reason I asked

@unicornturtle I don't believe it has been officially adopted, but the idea is that each time you mulligan, you draw 7 cards, then put a number of cards on the bottom of your library so that you end up with the size of the hand you're mulliganing to

oh ok
ah ok thanks

So, you start by drawing 7. Then, if you mulligan, you shuffle and draw 7 and put 1 on the bottom. If you mulligan again, you shuffle and draw 7 and put 2 on the bottom

I hope it gets officially adopted

Feels like 3 steps, when it should be 1 or 2
pre-look at additional cards before deciding to mulligan, can pick any card(s) out of your hand to put on the bottom, increases with mulligan count
Granted, you lose the ability to craft your first draw, but that's a small plus to lose
I suppose being able to leave it on top with a scry is just a worse version of being able to pick any card to put on the bottom.
Though I suppose it's better to make it too strong to see the limits of mulligans. As well as reducing non-games

9:28 PM
Probably easier to tune down the power if it is too strong then increase it if it is too weak
