ya, I wonder if they will avoid putting to much power into WU walkers because of it
or give them abilities that are redundant if duped (ie creatures gain flying, opp creatures attack PW next turn)

Except it doesn't make you use the same ability, so making the power redundant if duped still:
A) Lets you use the +s more to build counters even if redundant
B) Lets you use the + and then the - or ult if high enough

ya, but that would be solved by keeping the power level down in general
there have been a lot less "Insta-win" ults that are still valuable
Kaya, Orzhov Usurper and Dovin, Grand Arbiter have valuable ults but they don't auto win for you
both are 3cmc walkers though
winder what new Gideon will be like though, might actually be able to make a B-C tier Gideon Tribal deck now in modern
