Q: Are questions about software simulating card games still on-topic?

SK19Almost posted a question because of this answer, but in my case I still have We're not the right place to ask questions about: Computer games, try gaming.stackexchange.com ... Game Recommendation/Shopping questions, this includes all questions that could be phrased like: Bes...

@JoeW The meta consensus was to remove it, but I believe it was left for the mods since they have better tools to get rid of it with less disruption

I think I may have given some bad advice to a new user.....
I recommended they write some good answers to help get their account unlimitted but failed to realize they might not be able to tell what a good answer is....
I should have recommended to lurk more and get a feel for how things work before writing again, as it stands it looks like they are going to get further limited as their latest answers is going to be a bit of a flop....

@Malco I'm nearly positive that question rate limits aren't at all affected by answers
That user's two previous questions are deleted, so that's where the problem is

ahh, I see. I suspected as much since his mtg tag is negative, but I don't have the privileges to search for the users deleted posts

Not sure whether it was @murgatroid99 or @Cascabel, but RE: my recently declined flag with about the edits. Just wanted to bring it to your attention as it looked ok but kinda tripped my suspicions a bit. Ran out of character in the flag text so that last sentence was supposed to be "might bordering on spam" vs "it is borderline spam"

It's a direct answer to the question, with disclosure. I don't really see it as borderline; it seems like it's definitely not spam.

10:42 PM
Almost correct. It's not my site, but the program is written by me indeed. So I try to post about it whenever I see it is a valid answer to a posted question. — Nikolay Hidalgo Diaz Sep 16 '17 at 10:26
That part is questionable. If the user's goal here is to promote their thing, then even with the proper attribution, it's still kind of spammy

I mean, okay, but he posted only one answer.

to me the concern is bumping it constantly with trivial edits

right, that would be a concern, but... it doesn't actually seem constant
there's a couple clusters

yeah there are edits they're actually, like, genuinely improving their post

basically there are three clusters of six-ish edits within a few days, plus one more a week off?
Hey, we understand wanting to improve/update your post, but could you try to bundle up the edits a bit more, so that there's one larger edit instead of several spread out over a day or two? (I know it's hard to always get everything on the first try, though.) — Cascabel ♦ just now
This is about as much as I think it's worth saying.

10:48 PM
@Cascabel doing just that looks good to me

11:00 PM
cool, thanks.
