@JoeW It's just about as close to balanced as it can be, 53% is close to even, and any other attempts to balance, like adding a single free mana would I think more widely swing the numbers. Though it would be interesting to see the difference if first player got a draw and second player got the mana. This of course also only really applies to one on one magic.

Andrew, I agree that adding a free mana (especially of any color) would swing the balance to wanting to go second. But I think it is an interesting question to think about the balance between going first and second
