I’ve heard it said that ואלה שמות is an acronym (backronym?) for וחייב אדם לקרא התורה שנים מקרא ואחד תרגום. Anyone have a source for this?
I see it in Kaf HaChaim, OC 285:1, but did he come up with it, or does it date further back?

Q: How does one handle ברכות התורה when learning through sunrise?

eykanalWith sunrise being pretty late in some parts of the globe, how does someone handle the question in the title? If one is learning before and up to sunrise, do they stop and make a blessing when sunrise arrives?
