Can anyone check Psalm 87 in a paper copy of the NJPS Tanakh for me? These two sites are showing different verses: taggedtanakh.org/Chapter/Index/english-Ps-87 nocr.net/bexpo/english/engtnk/index.php/Ps/87

@curiousdannii Based on the Hebrew (and the OJPS here mechon-mamre.org/p/pt/pt2687.htm matches) neither of those have a traditional breakup.

3:15 AM
@DoubleAA Yeah that's what I'd figured. The NJPS is a completely fresh translation - Wikipedia says it's unrelated to the OJPS

I added a bounty to this question during Chol HaMoed but it hasn't received any answers. Now that the chag is over, does anybody have anything to say about it?
(the bounty still has today to go)

@kouty, @DoubleAA I realized over yom tov that בגו is in the berich shemey during the taking out of the sefer torah and the english siddur translates it as "among".
@Daniel Which tense does קא change a verb to?

@TheOne Keep reading (further along in this room).

3:07 PM
@TheOne I do not understand your post

@msh210 My understanding is that it shifts the word into progressive tense

Does anyone know a book about how to determine Nekudot of Aramaic (Bavli) words?
Or for that matter, a program which will do it to Hebrew words

@ShmuelBrin A dictionary?

@ShmuelBrin I'm pretty sure something like that exists, as someone once mentioned one (for pay) to me. Don't remember what it's called though.

@ShmuelBrin You mean using context? Just the letters is indeterminate. דדיך Dodecha or Dodayich.

2 hours later…
@msh210 Unusual, but I guess it kind of works

@Daniel Yeah, it's not much worse than s'firas haomer. (Neither really seems right when taken literally.) I was pointing it out not because it seems wrong, just because it seems unusual (and also to check whether others thought I was reading it right).

@msh210 Have you ever personally received a Chabad wedding invitation with the wrong time on it?
I'm having a hard time confirming that this is actually even a thing let alone why it is
I've posted on Facebook and tagged many of my Chabad friends and nobody has replied
