Q: High holy days book: who wants to help with distribution?

Monica CellioYou may have heard that we're working on another book for the high holy days. This time, in addition to the downloadable copy, we're talking about printing and distributing copies in places where they'll be welcome and useful. As Isaac said in the proposal: They are the holidays on which th...

@NoachmiFrankfurt If there are enough questions with that topic that grouping them together in that way is helpful for search purposes, then make the tag. Doesn't matter how many other Achronim or Rishonim or dogs have their own tag.

@MonicaCellio 2–8 business days within the Lower 48. (Source.) If we want "September 10: Printed copies in the hands of distributors", and Labor Day is the previous Monday, then we need the copies mailed out August 28th, so the August 27th listed in the plan sounds good. If no recipient is in Fairbanks.
@MonicaCellio "If the brief is due on Monday, do not deliver a first draft to me at 7:00 on Friday night. What will I think? 'This jerk decided to blow up my weekend so that I can review this and put it in final form.'" -- Mark Herrmann, The Curmudgeon's Guide to Practicing Law (a great book, parts of which are relevant to employees in other industries also, as well as to life in general)
@IsaacMoses Oh, sorry. ^

@Menachem Very impressive.
@msh210 Yeah. I didn't think about Labor Day. I just translated "up to 8 business days" to "allow two weeks."
@msh210 Due to be handed in to Herrmann on Monday or due to someone downstream of him on Monday? If the former, he shouldn't feel pressure to look at it on the weekend. If the latter, he should have set an internal due date for his associate to hand it to him in sufficient time for him to comfortably do his part before he has to pass it on.
@msh210 "You heard it here slightly earlier."
