@YEZ Thanks for your recent edit to the latter. Perhaps we need a separate tag for b'rachos acharonos?

What is the close reason for a question that requires extensive knowledge of some other topic?
And do other people agree that this question falls under that category?
@DoubleAA @msh210 @IsaacMoses @MonicaCellio ^^
@MonicaCellio "Good" badge? Isn't that for a question/answer with 10+ upvotes? You have a plethora of those
oooh good is 25+
you're close to a few more :)

@Daniel I don't think we have a general "requires outside expertise" close reason, but one of our off-topic close reasons mentions comparative religion (our most-common case of the general problem), so you could use that.
And, I agree -- if it asked what Judaism says about Buddhism, if rabbis have written about its halachic status etc, that would be fine. But just asking "is it?" without bringing the key factors about Buddhism that would influence that is a poor fit. Care to either edit or vote to close?

Sad news. The kidnapped Israeli teens were found dead

YEZ
@Daniel Baruch dayan emes. That's terrible.

@YEZ Maybe. We already have a coupla tags more specific than that: , . So it may be worthwhile having a specific b'rachos acharonos tag also. I don't know.

YEZ
@msh210 Or maybe a borei nefashos and me'ein shalosh tag

@YEZ Yeah, maybe.

@YEZ Very terrible. Unfortunately, I don't know that anything is going to change as a result

YEZ
@Daniel For who? It certainly changes for their mothers. But it might also change for residents of the West Bank who will be the recipients of the response.

@YEZ That is true
But I don't think that anything about the way the world views the power dynamic between Israel and the Palestinians will change

YEZ
@Daniel most probably correct. Unless they condemn Israel for responding. Which I guess isn't really a change.

@Daniel baruch dayan ha-emet. And somehow this will be Israel's fault in the eyes of the world (and even moreso if they take just measures to respond). :-(

Has anyone used the Shulchan Aruch printed by the publisher called Mir?
