@YEZ I've fixed the script. Your own questions shouldn't show up on the list any longer.
Note that this site is for answerable questions, not open-ended chat. What is it you want to know? Surely not whether anyone who sees this page has heard of such a custom. Is it whether the custom really exists? or its provenance? or its reasons? or... what? — msh210 ♦ 2 days ago
All, is that ^ question closure-worthy as "unclear what you're asking"?
@ShmuelBrin, shavua tov

@msh210 you too

Molad Sivan was announced as Thursday, 5:22:36.6666... a.m. That's Jerusalem (not standard) time; to get standard (time-zone) Israel time, add 20 minutes and ~56.5 seconds, so ~5:43:32 a.m. And an hour for summer time, so ~6:43:32. Locally (here in St. Louis), subtract eight hours, so ~10:43:32 p.m. Three days after the molad is thus ~10:43:32 motzae Shabas, so I guess we won't be saying kidush l'vana after maariv next week. They should, though, on the west coast.
... except those who wait seven days from the molad, of course.

@IsaacMoses I avoid YWN like the plague.

@msh210 I would agree with putting that on hold pending an answer. Anyone else want to weigh in?

Is it not possible for me to edit a question that I deleted myself?

@Daniel it should be. Link?

@Daniel do you not have an edit link, or does it not work? If the latter, what feedback do you get? (AFAIK that's supposed to work. If necessary I'll undelete for you, but I'd like to understand what's happening so we can report the bug, if it is a bug.)

@MonicaCellio The edit link is grayed-out (unclickable)

@Daniel thanks. Hang on a minute while I see if any devs are around.

6:28 PM
@MonicaCellio I have an undelete button FWIW
@MonicaCellio thanks

@Daniel oh ok. I guess that makes some sense; why would you be editing if you weren't going to undelete? I just expected you to be able to do them in either order.

@MonicaCellio me too. It seems like one should be able to edit before undeleting for incremental changes
@MonicaCellio Any devs around?

@Daniel there don't seem to be any devs around at the moment, but one other mod thinks it should be possible too. So I guess (a) undelete and then edit, and (b) if you like, post a bug report on our meta (including a screen shot before you do (a) would be good).
Make that two other moderators now.

@MonicaCellio Ok, then I'll post a bug report

@Daniel thanks. BTW, the edit link is not grayed-out for me, so it's not just a weird CSS styling thing caused by the question being deleted.

6:38 PM
@MonicaCellio I'm sure it has something to do with me being below the rep threshold for deleting
the question is whether it's intentional
but idk why they would have chosen to not allow someone to edit their own deleted question

@Daniel yeah, that seems odd -- especially since you can undelete it! I hope we find out why this is.

@Daniel heh, I'd forgotten all about that.

@MonicaCellio so something has changed

@Daniel or meta and main behave differently?
BTW, someone suggested to me that if the question requires a lot of work, you could prepare the edit off-site (like in a text editor), undelete, and then paste it in -- if your goal is to minimize the time the old question is live, I mean. It doesn't look like you have a major overhaul coming (probably just a few sentences or a link) so maybe nothing to worry about, but just passing it on.

6:47 PM
@MonicaCellio Yeah, I'm just curious

@Daniel me too. And this isn't SO, where a zillion people will see the question as soon as it pops out and have it closed before you can finish your edit. :-)

@MonicaCellio Closed would be fine. Still editable then :)

@Daniel true. But probably also downvoted, on some sites. That would be more of a bummer since not all downvoters come back to revisit post-edit.

@MonicaCellio Haha well I edited in 11 words in about 10 seconds after undeleting. I think that's pretty fast even by SO standards

@Daniel yup. :-)

6:52 PM
Funny, I never even thought of the idea that Barak would not be considered a shofet

@Daniel and I never thought about it one way or the other until seeing your question today.

But he is never called a judge by the text
I always just assumed he was a kind of lame judge who never really did anything

But Artscroll says he was? Where do they say that?

In one of the apendices they have a timeline of the shofetim
ooh I should add in that artscroll says it's based on the Vilna Gaon's timeline

Q: Unable to edit own deleted question

DanielBased on this, it seems like I should be able to edit my own post which I have deleted; however, I am unable to edit a post which I have deleted and want to edit before undeleting. The edit button is grayed-out and unclickable. I do have an undelete button which seems like it works.

6:59 PM
@Daniel please do.

7:34 PM
@MonicaCellio Done.
