Q: What's the difference between the 'Jewish-books' tag and the 'sefarim-books' tag?

VramI'm pretty new to this site, so please forgive me if I dont understand how this works. I recently asked this question, and while searching for tabs to add i saw one titled 'sefarim-books' and one titled 'jewish-books'. Is there a difference between the two? Also, to tags really matter so much?...

@doubleaa and all, FYI, if you think a tag name should be changed from (for example) mishlei to mishlei-proverbs, then you shouldn't go to each question tagged mishlei and manually change it to mishlei-proverbs. Rather, the tags should be merged. A mod can do this, and may do so unilaterally if you ask here, or you can raise the issue on meta for discussion. Retagging every question with a tag is [cont'd]
[cont'd] labor-intensive and bumps all those questions to the top of the front page; merging is very very easy and doesn't bump the questions.

I don't think anyone else can merge tags (and I don't think there's a way to propose their merger on-site), but am not sure.

@msh210 isn't there a move to make one word tags and using synonyms? (For example, changing to and making a synonim?
Like what happened to the "minhag" tag

@ShmuelBrill Yep. I suppose I should have done that in this case, too, eh?

@Alex the Baal HaTurim (Shemot 19:4) learns that G-d aquired us with Kessef, Shtar, and Bi'ah. And mentions that "V'Avi" from that passuk is the same numerical value as "Bi'ah"

@ShmuelBrill That move is, I think, opposed by @isaacmoses, though perhaps I should let him speak for himself.
