@Sil It still depends on my manual operation for now, and due to variable indexing process, it really depends
@Sil Of course you do not want to simply filter the displayed results, since top results can be all AoPS data and will left you no result. What I want is simple "field search" that normal search engines all support, such that you can input in the query box like "source:mse, a+b+c". the "source:mse" is a AND keyword and "a+b+c" is a OR keyword.
In technical term, a very simple query language.
BTW. I am setting up a new instance for testing now, you can check out the most updated UI here: 172.104.159.193:8080/search Let me know if you think this version improves your space issue.

@WeiZhong Looks better now, i can use the raw query (although i have the smaller version of keyboard now). Anyway I still see the logo, is that correct?

@WeiZhong I see that you have posted some explanation in a comment.
@GNUSupporter8964民主女神地下教會 A0 author here. As MartinSleziak pointed out, you need to strip those \left and \right around "vertical bar" to find that post. I did not find a good way to parse vertical bars used in representing absolute values if they do not have \left \right to help me parse, what I do is simply treat a single bar as a leaf token. That is why you see the difference as in original post it does not have \left \right surrounded, and you need to use the same representation in your query to find that post. — Wei Zhong Nov 27 at 3:23
I have added a CW-answer summarizing what was said in comments and in chat. (I guess it is useful if this thing is visible somewhere - so that the people using this search engine keep this in mind.)

@Sil The logo will disappear only if you use non-landscape mode at screen width less than 576px and pull out the rawquery box.
Is that what you see?
@MartinSleziak Thanks for posting the community wiki answer there, looks more detailed and very well said.
I do not have anything I want to add on that.
