@user21820 do you know a good version of this question on the site?

Q: Can anyone help me what's wrong here as i can prove $0 = 1$?

Prashant MittalSuppose $S = 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 ....$ and hence we can write $S = 1 + S$ therefore, $ 1 = 0$ This seems absurd to me but where am I going wrong here? or is it some paradox

I have also checked questions tagged infinity+fake-proofs.

Thanks! I just came here to post about this. :-)

Although I am not sure I helped - I've search for any version, you asked about good version.....
It's quite likely that there are others posts about this (and maybe some variations) - but I cannot think of some other reasonable way to search for them right now.

It might be a case where it is rare to find somebody that can ask about it in a good way, while not knowing or realizing the answer.
If nothing better shows up, I'll try to consolidate this subject in some way.

I'll add that I do not see anything on this topic among deleted questions with these two tags. But deleted questions are an unlikely source of good material, anyway.

I'll wait a bit to see if user21820 replies. Otherwise I'll think of some resolution.

I have added a link to here in CRUDE - so that others can check what was found (if they're interested).
