@JyrkiLahtonen "Approach0 is there only to make their task of finding dupes easier." Very true. That's why I said we should put more efforts in making this useful tool known by more people. Putting in comments seems not effective, isn't it. So far, it one makes a poll on meta, I doubt that even for most 100K users, they know what Approach0 is.
I think that there are users who direct askers to Approach0.

@XanderHenderson I don't think participating in meta is a must for MSE users, is it? I didn't notice Martin's How to Search meta post (that mentions Approach0) until very recently. Maybe that useful post (which currently has very low views) could be added into the guideline of the site: https://math.stackexchange.com/help/how-to-ask , which currently only links to the site search engine.
For the record, when I posted about this on meta, I suggested How do I search?. See: Should we add external searches in some help pages about search?

I mentioned in the mods office that the link might be edited into help center at some point, as discussed before: Should we add external searches in some help pages about search?

(2) I was talking about how to encourage such group of people, and even the askers (who may neither participate in meta nor want to use the moderator tools), to avoid asking/answering duplicates. (3) One possible way to do so is to make Martin's meta post known by more people, even for those who has zero interests in meta. (4) @MartinSleziak's right that such discussion is not very much suitable in this room and may be someone can help move it to the appropriate one.
Again, one reasonable way how to make users aware of something (FAQ post on meta, searching) is leaving comments how they could have found the duplicates and linking to that particular resource.
