Nagging afterthoughts about crossword clues, probably already understood:
I Meant "solid clue" even more than "valid clue."
And well appreciate that good crosswords cover the clue spectrum from easy inertia-breakers to difficult guess-verifiers, along with a sprinkling of complete enigmas.
