Finals are over. The age of darkness is lifted.

Now I need to lure someone who knows classifying toposes in here.

I've been trying to read Scedrov's Forcing and Classifying Topoi, which is making me think that the little I knew about classifying toposes is not entirely correct.

@MaliceVidrine At least the little is more than the none I know. =P

They're pretty fun, at least in theory. I've never actually proved anything substantial with them, though.

I especially like them because syntactic categories appeal to both the logician and category theorist in me.

But Scedrov's monograph is making me think I've got a bad picture of how to manage them in practice.

It's also not a very readable monograph, so... the flaw could be in the reading experience and not my understanding :P

Right now I'm far too busy to touch anything outside my current areas of expertise.

That's certainly fair. Having just got done with finals, if there's anything in this world I understand right now, it's not wanting to do more stuff.
