@user45266 Very interesting. I think I'd be unconsciously tempted to add a 3rd automatically. I'll give that chord a listen.
Holy Shit! Look at this tube!

@luserdroog I'm curious: Ever since I joined this site, I never could figure out what your username was. Other people have parts of a name, or some reference to something or someone else, or some cool words, or something else that makes sense (or just their default user number, like me). But yours seems to be a conscious choice, not some random string of letters and numbers. How do you pronounce that? And if it's not too personal, why that name? (Also, does the word "user" in there mean anything?)

It two words from two different science fiction novels. 'droog' comes from A Clockwork Orange, where it's part of the youth dialect called nadzat, it's Russian for "friend". 'lusor' (if I hadn't misspelled it so long ago) comes from The Glass Bead Game, it's Latin for 'player', in the novel it meant a programmer of esoteric demos using the GBG. The quotes are in my scifi profile: scifi.stackexchange.com/users/3007/luser-droog?tab=profile
So, I conceive of it with Luser as the surname, and Droog is the individual name. So if anyone wants to join my cult, they can be Luser Sthg. (no takers, yet :(
At first it was 'luser-ex-troll' but eventually I changed 'troll' to 'trogg' and then later discovered 'droog' which had a nice ring.
Re-reading my quotes, I'm tempted to go with "Joculator". That's awesome.

Q: Multiple questions about notation in a specific Baroque song

Jim GarrisonI want to arrange a particular 4-part Baroque song from a 1624 publication facsimile, and the notation has a number of facets I've never seen before. Should I create a single post with all my questions about this one facsimile, or a set of micro-questions, one on each detail?
