Another question out of curiosity...

For a score that uses additive rhythm, is it common to use the beams on the eighth notes to indicate how the smaller units are grouped into larger units?

I'm thinking of a particular piece that's in 13/8 time, grouped as 3, 3, 2, 2, 3.
