@Canageek moral of the story: never read the documentation, bad things happen

@DavidCarlisle, @UlrikeFischer String case folding now works for all of Unicode in pdfTeX; I've got to do the text functions next, plus the various deprecations and renames I feel we need

@JosephWright diff looks more or less plausible... Looks like you are making good progress:-)

@DavidCarlisle Yes, it seems to be working: the text part will be tricky but it's more focussed (changing the string code is harder as it is needed by the kernel for loading, so if you mess that up you can't even test)

9:36 AM
@JosephWright does it also extend \char_generate for pdflatex to accept larger values?

9:59 AM
Friends, does anyone remember of a package that draws terminal/console windows? I remember seeing this package but cannot recall the name...
Ah, termsim!

@UlrikeFischer No: I'm trying to get a more focussed approach such that \char is clearly about character tokens: this is one of the 'to do' to rename some functions

@JosephWright I don't care much about the name ;-). But it would be nice if one could generate a BOM or a duck without have to resort to bytes or local functions.

10:49 AM
@UlrikeFischer BOM or: 🦆💣 ?

@DavidCarlisle it would be bad for dinner to bomb the duck ;-)

11:18 AM
@UlrikeFischer Blasted duck, supposed to be delicious.

@DavidCarlisle oh no
@mickep oh no

@UlrikeFischer Sure, i meant that I'm trying to work through in steps: I will look at this during the process

Q: Inbox improvements: marking notifications as read/unread, and a filtered inbox view

marradosTL;DR: We're planning to make some changes to the inbox in a few weeks. You'll be able to mark individual notifications as read or unread, and to filter the inbox dropdown to show only unread notifications (or show all of them). We're also making some styling changes to make it easier to tell whe...

@CarLaTeX Thanks! That solves everything it seems.

@samcarter Good improvement, in my opinion.

@egreg The new inbox looks very familiar -- seems they now copy their ideas from Codidact :)

@samcarter has it changed yet, I don't see any difference?

@DavidCarlisle No, I think it is still the old inbox, eta seems to be in a few weeks

@samcarter thats what I thought from the article, I thought your comment meant your inbox had changed already

@DavidCarlisle Ah, no, I was only looking at the images from the meta post.
