@AlanMunn it still works, but there is a (not very large) patch in hyperref to support its \a, \b, \c definition which I would like to get rid of. Imho the package could handle this itself, but I guess this will need outside help, the maintainer answered but is no longer active.
@UlrikeFischer I see. A side of me wants to support the linguistics community, and another side wishes the package would disappear. :) linguex also interacts badly with font packages to some extent (which is what the hyperref patch is doing too, I think?)
@UlrikeFischer The real problem is that the package doesn't use any environments at all.
@UlrikeFischer But that's what people who don't know better like about it. :)
@UlrikeFischer I haven't looked at the code in a while, but I suppose those commands could be defined within the scope of the \ex. and \exg. macros which would help a lot.
@PauloCereda On the jsPsych issue. The developers responded, and what I was trying isn't really implemented, but they provided an alternative solution that works.
@UlrikeFischer One of the downsides of the SE model is that mailing list use for the most part has disappeared (e.g. Ling-TeX receives now only a few messages a year if that). But this means there's no way to engage with the community of users of a package to see if someone would be willing to take over maintenance.
