@Randal'Thor , advice taken. Thank you.
. . .
So i've bragged about women i helped fulfill. In a society unfortunately backward. Truly a challenge on their parts more than mine. Most of whom i knew since birth.
Now i'll brag about the men. Stellar athletes. All they needed was an example of what's possible. None of whom i knew since birth, but each of whom surpassed me. And they still face challenges. Whut a world . . .
Enough said? Too much?
. . .
And, yes, @Rand al'similar, the dangers i encounter on the street are more dire than those here. But those here irritate me. I'm a force for good!
. . .
Why i go Charcoal.SE is to irritate back. The wound that hasn't ruptured is the easiest to heal. They should appreciate it. But i'll back off.
@Ramd al'empathy, i press every border, often with self-defeating results. Been doing it so long i no longer have fear.
(Sorry to spell your pseudonym with an "m" @Rand al'wise)
And out the door i go. Bye for now.

4 hours later…
7:48 AM
@humn Irritating back is a bad idea. They won't appreciate it; they'll just ban you.
On a better note:
Not that I'm saying goodbye! Just a beautiful piece of music.

7 hours later…
2:43 PM
hello all, I have a question that somebody here almost certainly has an immediate answer to
(ps hi hello to all of you I haven't talked to in literally years)

@question_asker (you're probably looking for The Sphinx's Lair, the main Puzzling.SE chat room: chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/14524/the-sphinxs-lair)

I guess I can ask in both places -
I came here because it was "active" more recently
in any case it seems like neither room is active at the moment

3:20 PM
@Randal'Thor , thank you. Such sweet harmony!
@question_asker , i'm so glad to detect your pulse!

hello humn! good to see you again

You completely derailed the message i had prepared, @question answerer. It'll arrive at some point but, to repeat, your heartbeat is so warm.

I'm afraid I'm pretty much in and out, but I ran across a riddle in a bad video last night and wanted to see if the good people at puzzling could identify it
(I asked in the other room already)

Now i have to look.
Enjoying the transcipt!
Incidentally, @question_asker, i suspect the multiple parachutes were one for D. B. Cooper and the other for the loot.

I finally broke down recently and watched Ready Player One (sorry if you like this book or movie, I think both are very bad for reasons I couldn't begin to get into here) and one of the funniest parts to me was the fact that this guy died and left puzzles for people to solve and five years later no one had solved them. Like in the real world, puzzle hobbyists would have had it figured out the same day
@humn I actually think their explanation is accurate, or at least it's the explanation I've heard before. the loot is still partially at large, though, right? they only ever found some of it?

3:35 PM
I've so missed you, @question er.

aw, that's really nice to hear! you were always one of my favorites too

. . . now for the prepared the portion:
Thank you, @Mithrandir, for exposing my latest offense.
And thank you, @Rand al'cetera, for spurring me on to the next offense.
And, most of all, thank yu, @manshu, for making this possible.
But, first of all, @Question answerer, for giving the initial welcome.
Not to mention too many others to mention.
. . . so:
I grew up in a milieu of world war II survivors and families whom the fatalities left behind.
I grew old just one block away from mentally ill veterans of Afghanistan, Chile, Iran, Syria, Venezuela and too many other useless wars to name.
One sibling is a fire captain, saving lives for a living.
The other sibling schemes at Google, for good rather than harm.
Each of us learned from each other. So one tough cookie and apologize for indiscretions.
(Also sorry for grammatical errors. I'm in a good mood.)
. . .
And, by the way, i'm so old i learned on a kick-driven typewriter. Or was that a sewing machine? Oh, it was a pedal organ.
But, @question seeker, you made me feel young two+ years ago and once again.

3:51 PM
aw thanks!

Free association:
It's not the woman in you who brings out my love, @questioneer. It's the person. But that is a nice song.
Oh, poor Karen Carpenter. Such a gorgeous voice from such a tortured soul.
In contrast (hopefully):
(Time out for phone calls.)
