@Aegon I guess there is no canon answer to my question? the one about the children of the forest

@Termatinator There is, I am finding the quote on reproduction right now
I know where it is but I can't seem to find it lol give me five minutes

ah okay, thx, much appreciated

7:02 AM
@Aegon In the tv show we see leaf (one of the COTF) turning the night king, right?

@Termatinator I remember cotf stabbing a nights watch ranger to turn him night king, it seemed

yeah, wasn't that one of the children bran met?

@Termatinator I don't remember but the night king creation was a long time ago, I don't think it was the same COTF
or maybe your right
I just learn that they can leave thousands years
@Termatinator They also seem to be extremely long-lived. Given Leaf participated in the creation of the Night King some twelve thousand years ago, their lifespans are clearly measured in millennia.

7:44 AM
@Termatinator I believe so. But in the books, Leaf is merely 200 years old
And in the books, the Others are a distinct species
They are not simply magically corrupted men.
And of course, the Night's King in the book is not the Night's King in the show. Both are completely different canon from Season 4.

JAD
@Aegon well, for starters it's Night's King vs Night King

Yup. Distinction sometimes eludes me though when I mix things up. For a real long time I thought 3ER was the correct term, not 3EC.

@Aegon, I think @Termatinator was asking about the show

@Bebs Yeah but it is tagged with the books tag also so I went with the books answer

oh, sorry, I didn't know you guys were referring to a question

JAD
7:52 AM
In the books, Night's King is also rather mundane
Being a human instead of an Other

Yeah but it makes the others so much better
Making them a distinct species, even older than the elder races is much more exciting
And makes their motive simpler

JAD
Makes them more mystic as well

@Aegon @Bebs I was asking about both actually XD

@JAD Would have made the show so much better had they improvised with at least some semblance of devotion to one of the greatest thing on TV. Oh well, no use whinging now
Did anyone see the documentary they aired? The so called bonus episode?
Varys' reaction was hilarious when everyone cheered for Arya killing the NK.

7:57 AM
not yet, I'll probably watch thursday or friday

Didn't miss much. Only three things were worth watching. Emilia's eyebrows (As usual), Conleth's reaction, and Kit's shock.

I just wish they would've made one more minour episode to close it all off

JAD
8:13 AM
@Aegon I only saw the memes

@JAD So did I. Think they pretty much covered it all :D
If there was something truly great about it, memes would have told us

JAD
9:19 AM
@Aegon eh, the memes will of course focus on whatever they can read into actor's reactions

Q: Do we know why the Night's Watch has diminished so much?

CharlesIn S01E03 of Game of Thrones, Maester Aemon mentions to Tyrion that the Night's Watch is growing smaller in numbers, now to less than a thousand. Since the Night's Watch consists mostly of bastards, criminals, rapists, etc., I'm finding it difficult to believe that these demographics of Westero...

Q: Why were the Night's Watch required to be celibate?

AnthelothIf the Night's Watch was supposed to last thousands of years, and was given land, why not have them raise families in the Gift and send all adult males to guard the wall on a rotation?
