Just noticed today how many people walk out of the canteen and light a fag on the short walk back to the factory/offices, the UK has sensitized me. Outside bars and stuff as well, the sheer number is crazy

I hate smoking so always notice it, also annoying that smokers, in the UK at least, are allowed extra breaks, especially if the boss is a smoker. Luckily no one smokes in my office here
@Edlothiad My mum got a verbal warning from her boss cos half the office had 5-10 smoke breaks a day and she put up a protest whenever they went out she had a break too. Boss said something like "Why are you having all these breaks you don't smoke?" I mean how daft is that.
@TheLethalCarrot Ye that doesn't make here. Being on flex I can break whenever I want, although I guess I'm always on break. But I could just get up, go outside and have a 5 minute walk as I please.
At my company in London Smokers got two 10 minute breaks that they had to work up, here they just go out for a smoke, it's chill

Tried removing the opening sentence and replacing it with [Owing to strict regional laws on nudity/broadcast of nudity], Still there is that bit about it being "Blasphemous" at the end. And of course, the assumption that its only female nudity thats frowned upon in the region.
@Aegon I think the quote is just someone being ignorant/naive, I wouldn't say they were being offensive on purpose but I can remove it if you think it's better?

Why would the KG have battled with Ned given they likely knew about Lyanna and Rhaegar marrying. They could have just taken Ned to Lyanna so she could tell him...
@TheLethalCarrot Honourable death. They swore their allegiance to the Targaryens, and the last order they were given was let no one into the ToJ (probably even Ned). These were Rhaegar's most trusted, of course they died for him

Still they are essentially protecting Lyanna and Aegon at this point, I'm sure they know Ned wouldn't harm either of them. They could have let him through and kept their vows and even still served the Targs. I kinda get why they did it but it seems a bit flawed to me
@Edlothiad Yeah but I thought there was another one detailing about her first being betrothed to Brandon, then marrying Ned and him going off to war and her thinking a similar thing
