Q: Best Practice for providing in App help on iPad apps

Amr ElsehemyWe are building a Teacher app that has many functionalities and we want to add in app (inline or interactive .. I don't know) help. What is the best practice? Here is the app, you can check the screenshots or download it for free http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/teacherpal/id389584618?mt=8

Seems too much about my app, and only on iPad, as opposed to iOS or mobile in general

Perhaps if a screenshot could be provided rather than basically requesting everyone downloads the app it'd be fairer. The question is useful enough but should be more specific to a type of app / situation and less about his own app. Verging on spam I think.

Commented...it's already got okay answers now, but it probably should have been closed as NARQ initially.
Should I kill the link?

I also nuked all the best practice wording
I don't think it's ever helpful

Yeah it's best practice if we remove those references. It's kind of a given that people want to know the best solution anyway. Are you able to grab one of the iTunes screenshots to use so you can remove the link? I'm still only on iPhone until Monday so don't have much options aside commenting and flag handling for now.

Q: Worst practice for providing help in iPad apps
I really hate my users, how can I provide the most awkward and comically useless help in my app?
@JonW they're not useful for his in app help thing

If complex apps like garage band don't need in-app help then You're doing something wrong if your straight-forward app needs instructions IMO.
I've not looked at his app though, seemed like a spam post disguised as a question so I avoided the link.

I like the one-time overlay on some apps that show you a couple important/unusual features and thats it
