@Stephie lol! What was your reply?

@anongoodnurse it ended up with a walk down memory lane. And a mini lesson in modern music history.
@Stephie Cool! I actually listened to one of their songs after reading your post, and it certainly was a memory lane kind of thing. :) What fun!
My kids never inquired into the music of my youth. :( I tried to acquaint them with The Beatles, whom they did not like. O_o
What she didn’t know is that I definitely have a soft spot for Nirvana. I was on a student exchange in the Seattle area just before they got big internationally.
A few months later, the cool kids were all super excited about them and me so „oh, yeah, them“...
So Nirvana immediately makes me think of teen parties and the excitement of being abroad.
@anongoodnurse Ha! I guess all parents try to get their kids interested in their favorite music.

@AnneDaunted - Went on a mini deletion spree today. Not full on, but a start. Thanks for your list! I'll be on the lookout for others as well. As always, your work here is a real help in making this a better site.

@anongoodnurse Thanks! It's helpful, because when cleaning up tags, I also come across such questions and I'm reluctant to edit them. We don't have much activity and so edited questions linger on the front page for quite some time. And these closed, unanswered questions, months or (more often) years old, with no activity from the OPs (usually not even on the site anymore) - I'm not sure it's necessary.
It doesn't make a good impression, coming to this site and then seeing a bunch of closed questions (especially after such a week with many questions that needed to be closed).
And we are (still) more lenient than other stacks.

@AnneDaunted Yes, we are. But it could be worse, believe it or not.
