Ah! Screw work. Parenting chat is where its at!
@Beofett nice question! Its definitely hit the ground running.

Q: How do I address a teacher humiliating my son by calling him a "tattletale"?

BeofettMy friend recently shared this experience, and I thought it would be a good question for our site: So, [my son] got in trouble in school today. It seems that the kids were lined up in the hallway, listening to an announcement. Some of the kids were ignoring it in order to talk loudly amo...

Apparently, your thoughts on it being a nice question were absolutely true!

I have no idea if this is off-topic for chat, but wanted to share that my daughter got hit by a car today crossing the street in the crosswalk. From all perspectives, she'll be OK, but I'm taking her to a doctor for a full eval (hosp already released her). For all of us parents it doesn't take something so scary to appreciate our children, but it sure is a poignant reminder of how much we love them and value them being in our lives.
hmmm... "From all perspectives" is a funky expression... I meant "All indications at this point are that she'll be OK"

Sorry to hear that. Glad she's okay.

@JeremyMiller I'm so glad to hear that it sounds that she'll be okay. Must have been scary for all of you none-the-less and my heart goes out to you. We never like seeing them in pain (and of course, they don't like being in it either).
btw, I don't think there are any "rules" about being on topic here. Beofett and I have discussed Science Fiction stuff on here. Or, if there are any rules, they are to be self-created as we go along and are currently "unspoken."
Certainly, being worried or pained about your daughter's pain is on-topic in any case.

Thanks! It was very scary and I'm elated she'll be fine. Would love to have never experienced it though, as I'm sure you can imagine.
