@Tezz Do you know anything about Kala Bhairava's dog?

1 hour later…
6:43 AM
@TheDestroyer I had heard Dog is Vaahana of Kaala Bhairava... don't know much than that... what are you searching for...?

@Tezz I heard Dog is Kalabhairava Himself.
@Tezz Just want to know more about kala bhairava.

@TheDestroyer oh... I don't know about it...

@Tezz Ok.

@TheDestroyer@Tezz Hii 🌷
@TheDestroyer - is the kriya yoga you mentioned in answer , and the pranayama we follow in genral life with yogasana is same or different. I mean is genral pranayama teached by yog gurus and this one
@Tezz - what is your view?

7:45 AM
@SwiftPushkar yeah. Pranayama with mediation of Krishna and Radha. At the same time we should do general pooja to Vishnu's idol also.

8:10 AM
@TheDestroyer- ok , but i do pranayama for health purpose or as Breathing excercise , but dont do that accoeding to scriptures ,but as told by Yoga Guru and no mantras or any deity is envolved in that. What i wanted is shall we have to follow pranayama by scriptures or else?

8:27 AM
@SwiftPushkar Doesn't matter. Most of the procedures of puranas don't apply these days. They are not fit for these busy days. Smriti must be updated with time. Follow your Guru. He knows better than us.

@TheDestroyer - ok thanks :)

7 hours later…
3:25 PM
@Tezz I just posted a question related to Shaunaka's Brihaddevata:
0
Q: What is the story of Vasishta and Agastya's brother Matsya?

Keshav SrinivasanMost people only know about the fact the famous sage Vasishta, guru of Rama, was one of the mind-born sons of Brahma. But as I discuss in this question, Vasishta is no longer the son of Brahma. Currently Vasishta and his brother Agastya are the sons of Mitra god of friendship and Varuna the oce...

@KeshavSrinivasan Is the present Vasistha same from Swayambhu Manvantara...?

4:11 PM
@Tezz Yeah, I think the one from the Swayambhuva Manvantara lived until the time of king Nimi in the Vaivasvata Manvantara, and then he was reborn as the son of Mitra and Varuna.

@Tezz He was reborn at beginning of this Manvantara according to Brahmanda purana.

@KeshavSrinivasan @TheDestroyer present Vyasa was born in which yuga/Manvantara?...

4:30 PM
@KeshavSrinivasan Check these books.
for this question

Q: How many of the Divya Desams are the sites of Sri Vaishnava Temples?

Keshav SrinivasanThe Alwars (also spelled Azhwars) are a group of 12 ancient Vaishnava saints who lived in Tamil Nadu and are famous for their poetry in praise of Vishnu. The Alwars are crucially important figures in the development of Vaishnavism; it is the principles and beliefs embodied in the Alwars' poems th...

@Tezz don't know exact mahaYuga but this Manvanatara.

@TheDestroyer Thanks, because I have seen in one of your comments that we have 18 Puranas. (I don't know before and I thought to ask that here).

@KrishnShweta ok. Where did you see?

And what Puranas describes?

@KrishnShweta Puranas are history books. They describe history of various cosmic events.

@TheDestroyer I guess you were saying "This part of purana(or something like that) is interpolated"
@TheDestroyer Okay.

4:43 PM
@KrishnShweta Ohh.. BVP..Brahma Viavarvata Purana. This is the only Purana which says Krishna is Supreme God.

hi all

@TheDestroyer Exactly. You have used "BVP" short form there. So yes, there it was.
@SwiftPushkar Hello.

@KrishnShweta I think this Purana was interpolated during Bhakti Movement where Radharani became famous.

@TheDestroyer Ohh!

@SwiftPushkar Hi
@KeshavSrinivasan I found Complete Venkatchala mahatmya on tirumala site in Telugu which includes even bhavishottara Purana.

4:50 PM
I have one doubt......

@TheDestroyer@Tezz@KrishnShweta - what do you people think abt , travelling abroad ?i have heard that this type of saying was started after british arrival , but dont know of sure , i have been hearing this since childhood , whats your opinion ?

@TheDestroyer doesn't Vyasa change in every Chaturyuga...?

Tell me whether it has happened in real. I mean staying closer...

@Tezz yes. He changes in every Chaturyuga.

@KrishnShweta - yes :)

@TheDestroyer so his birth might be in recent Chaturyuga... what do you think...? @KeshavSrinivasan

@TheDestroyer yes I know that... but I want to know when was Krishna Dwaipayana born...
@KrishnShweta who is she... Radha?

@Tezz Maybe.

@SwiftPushkar AFAI, there is a chapter in Bhavishya Purana where Shiva says a King not cross Indus river as there was some bad Mlecha Religion on other side of Sindhu River. So, this may be later included to instill fear. Not sure. This is my speculation.

4:55 PM
@SwiftPushkar I am not sure how to consider this... I think that law was made for that time...

@KrishnShweta It is work of Artists (99%)

@TheDestroyer@Tezz - ok :)

I mean they used to stay that much close in real?

@KrishnShweta Chapter Thirty-Three The Rasa Dance
1. Sukadeva Gosvami said: When the cowherd girls heard the Supreme Personality of Godhead speak
these most charming words, they forgot their distress caused by separation from Him. Touching His
transcendental limbs, they felt all their desires fulfilled.
2. There on the Yamuna’s banks Lord Govinda then began the pastime of the rasa dance in the
company of those jewels among women, the faithful gopis, who joyfully linked their arms together.
3. The festive rasa dance commenced, with the gopis arrayed in a circle. Lord Krsna expanded Himself
12. Next to Krsna’s cheek one gopi put her own, beautified by the effulgence of her earrings, which
glittered as she danced. Krsna then carefully gave her the betel nut He was chewing.
13. Another gopi became fatigued as she danced and sang, the bells on her ankles and waist tinkling.
So she placed upon her breasts the comforting lotus hand of Lord Acyuta, who was standing by her
side.
14. Having attained as their intimate lover Lord Acyuta, the exclusive consort of the goddess of fortune,
the gopis enjoyed great pleasure. They sang His glories as He held their necks with His arms.
@KrishnShweta so they came that much closer....

@Tezz ohh. so that is one snapshot of Rasa Leela. Ok.

4:59 PM
@TheDestroyer yes. .

@Tezz OMG........... (I'm jealous now :P)

@KrishnShweta haha...

@TheDestroyer@Tezz - i am not talking abt priests only but for general population aslo. and what abt gandhari in mahabharata , i think kauravas , crossed himalaya and indus river , and gone to gandhar desha (current afganistan )

@KrishnShweta Some gopis are Rishis who did tapasya on Vishnu in their previous births.

@TheDestroyer @KrishnShweta I think some were Vanara Sena of Ramayana...

5:02 PM
@SwiftPushkar Exactly. Crossing Sindh River is recent one. Not sure about ocean. If crossing ocean is bad, even Rama crossed ocean. haha.

@TheDestroyer haha... yes... Rama crossed it... lol

@TheDestroyer - yes :)

@SwiftPushkar I think some people added that verse to stop migration...

@TheDestroyer I see. BTW Gopis were lucky.

@Tezz haha. but why? India was prosperous at that time. Till 1000AD Bharatha varsha was damn rich.
@KrishnShweta Yeah. They met Lord Vishnu in Human form.

5:04 PM
@SwiftPushkar I want to visit Netherlands. ^.^

@Tezz - yes correct , and also to avoid mixing of bad things in hinduism :)

@TheDestroyer I don't Know why... Sahadeva also crossed ocean in Mahabharat to meet Vibhisana...

@KrishnShweta - ohh nice

@Tezz Probably, an interpolation. BTW, some priests travel to US to do Prana Pratishta or to celebrate pooja in US Venkateswara temples.
@KrishnShweta what's there in netherlands?

@TheDestroyer Netherlands means Patala Loka... There is King Bali... haha...

5:07 PM
@TheDestroyer Nothing special.

@Tezz I was typing the same.

@TheDestroyer haha...

@Tezz Is Nagaloka same as Patala Loka?

@KrishnShweta - elektor electroincs magazine is from holland , in Netherlands lots of electronics related research is carried out .
@Tezz - like your idea ... Patal loka :)

@TheDestroyer I don't know... I think Nagaloka is among one of the six lower realms...
@SwiftPushkar haha... Nether = Lower/Patala Land= Area. ...

5:12 PM
@Tezz - smart translation , you are really of tezz buddhi :)

@SwiftPushkar True.

@SwiftPushkar haha...

@TheDestroyer I just Love your profile pic..... +1 for that.

@KrishnShweta I have lots of Deviant Art photos of Shiva.
@KrishnShweta Thanks.

@TheDestroyer Okay :)

5:16 PM
@Tezz@TheDestroyer@KrishnShweta - do you people know that lot of secret societies like The Knights Templar & Illuminati. are very intersted in ras-lila , they are doing this same procession in secret , they want to find out the hidden things in ras-lila , seen that in some documentory

@SwiftPushkar I don't know much about Illuminati... I think it's just a rumour...

@SwiftPushkar I think rasa lila was made popular in west in recent times by ISCKON. I don't think Illuminati still exists and even if it exists they are not good anymore according to a documentary which i have seen long ago.

@Tezz@TheDestroyer - ya , but Freemasons are real society , they have very VIP membership , generally very wealthy families etc.

@SwiftPushkar@Tezz Do you know about Ashoka's secret Nine?
The Great emperor Ashoka.

@TheDestroyer what is that...
At least I had read in stories Akbars 9 gems..

5:20 PM
@TheDestroyer - yes i know that :)
@TheDestroyer - some document were given to these 9 people to hide etc.
@TheDestroyer@Tezz - to different locations

@SwiftPushkar Something like that.

@SwiftPushkar oh ok... Thanks for information....

@Tezz @SwiftPushkar i found a site where i downloaded many books for free. Most of them are modern ebooks on Hinduism.

@Tezz@TheDestroyer@KrishnShweta - its said these documents were secreatly hidden in different cities

@TheDestroyer modern ebook? Written by modern person?...

5:24 PM
@TheDestroyer - ohh ok like ebook 3000

@SwiftPushkar what do these documents contain?...

@Tezz i mean Devdutt Pattinaik useless books.

@KeshavSrinivasan - hi :)

@SwiftPushkar that is a forum which is not good to mention here.

@TheDestroyer what type of books does he write...?

5:26 PM
@Tezz Don't you know Devdutt Pattinaik? Ahh.. he is sishya of Wendy Doniger.
@Tezz Wendy Doniger fulfills her fantasies by interpreting Hinduism in her own way.

@Tezz - might some vital info which they thought must be hidden from general public
@TheDestroyer - ok got your point :)

1
Q: Devdutt Pattnaik says Yoginis are wild erotic creatures? Is there any truth in it?

Amit SaxenaDevdutt Pattnaik, one of the populist writers on Hinduism, in his book Indian Mythology: Tales, Symbols, and Rituals from the Heart of the Subcontinent mentions this The yoginis of Hinduism, who are handmaidens of the Goddess and are wild erotic creatures, recall the witches' coven of the ...

@TheDestroyer oh... real Sishya or you are satairing...?...

@Tezz See this
The Nine Unknown is a 1923 novel by Talbot Mundy. Originally serialised in Adventure magazine, it concerns the Nine Unknown Men, a secret society founded by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka around 270 BC to preserve and develop knowledge that would be dangerous to humanity if it fell into the wrong hands. The nine unknown men were entrusted with guarding nine books of secret knowledge. == Plot == In the novel the nine men are the embodiment of good and face up against nine Kali worshippers, who sow confusion and masquerade as the true sages. The story surrounds a priest called Father Cyprian who is in...

@SwiftPushkar Hi

5:28 PM
@Tezz I think real Sishya.

@TheDestroyer oh ok...

@Tezz See answer of that question. To know true history of Hinduism and India, read Rajiv Malhotra books. All those westerners interpret Hinduism according to their whims.

Invading the Sacred...
@TheDestroyer I have read some parts of this...

@Tezz Many good books. i have all his books and i will read them.

@KeshavSrinivasan - what is uukla yajurveda ? i read that somewhere but dont know weather its a spelling mistake or real name
@KeshavSrinivasan - or its just shukla
@Tezz@TheDestroyer - do you have any idea abt this ?

5:34 PM
@SwiftPushkar I think it's just Shukla...

@SwiftPushkar I think Shukla yajurveda

@Tezz@TheDestroyer - ok that mean in the document spell mistake is there :)

@SwiftPushkar yes, there is not a world like Uukla..

@Tezz - yes , but i also heard that some branches are lost , we dont have any info abt them , is it true ?

@SwiftPushkar yes, many branches are lost...
@SwiftPushkar there are about 1108 Shakhas...
@SwiftPushkar at present surviving Shakhas are just 8 to 10...

5:39 PM
@Tezz - ohhhh , 1108 my god , whats surprise & what abt other vedas ?

@Tezz How did community edit your answer? Lol, see what it/he/she wrote.
@Tezz Community doesn't know that you have PDF of Padma Purana.

@SwiftPushkar it's total of 4 Vedas...
@TheDestroyer yes I know it... I'm also surprised...

@SwiftPushkar See my answer here for more information on the Vedic Shakhas:

A: Why are brahmins represented by names of Vedas?

Keshav SrinivasanTL;DR They basically indicate the occupations that Brahmanas used to have back when they were officiating Vedic Yagnas rather than being temple priests and the like. In order to understand what it means for someone to be a Rig Veda Brahmana and so on, you need to understand the nature of the Ved...

@TheDestroyer - i have rejected that edit some time ago

@KeshavSrinivasan what do you think about this edit?

5:41 PM
@KeshavSrinivasan - ok i will check it out :)

@TheDestroyer When it says edited by Community, what it means is that Community is taking responsibility for an edit suggestion made by an anonymous user who hasn't created an account on the site.

@SwiftPushkar "According to the Mahabhasya of Patanjali, there were 21 Shakhas of Rigveda, 9 of Atharvaveda, 101 of Yajurveda (86 of Krishna Yajurveda and 15 of Shukla Yajurveda, according to later authorities) and a 1000 shakhas of Samaveda. All these add to give the figure 1131.

However, out of these 1131 Shakhas, only 11 Shakhas remain alive. As far as Rigved is concerned, only one Shakha, Shaakal Shakha alone remains alive out of the 21 that existed at one time. Another shakha that may have survived is the Bāṣhkala, although this is uncertain. Out of the 101 Shakhas of Yajurveda, only

@KeshavSrinivasan So, it was some anonymous user proposed that edit. Then it's Tezz wish to revert back. May be blogger of that blog posted that as anonymous user. Lol.
@Tezz When did we lose them? During Invasions?

@TheDestroyer I thought to revert... but kept it upto this time to ask about it... who is This Community...

@Tezz "present Vyasa was born in which yuga/Manvantara?" I assume he was born in the most recent Dwapara Yuga. I don't know when exactly Satyavati was born. Satyavati was the daughter of king Uparichara Vasu, so that's a reference point.

5:46 PM
@Tezz@KeshavSrinivasan - yes thanks for nice information to both :)

@Tezz Commmunity is just an automated bot.

@TheDestroyer I think they were lost before AdiShankara period...

@Tezz But it was Oral tradition. How did we lose them?

@KeshavSrinivasan when were they lost..?...
@TheDestroyer we have Samhitas... Samhitas only differ by little in Shakhas...

@Tezz Different Shakhas were lost at different times. Adi Shankaracharya and Ramanujacharya speak of some Shakhas which were there in heir time but are now lost. But some Shakhas were already lost in their time.

5:48 PM
@TheDestroyer for eg. See Sri Rudram of Shukla YajurVeda (16th chapter) and of Krishna Yajurveda (4.5.1 - 11)... they only differ in some syllables... and words..

@Tezz@KeshavSrinivasan@TheDestroyer - i think they lost during invasions both turkish and mughal , cause lots of restrictions were there in those time on religion

@Tezz Yamunacharya speaks about the Ekayana Shakha already being lost in his time.

@KeshavSrinivasan Adi Shankara talks of Ekayana Shakha or not...?

After long time I think, we all 5 are chatting..... otherwise one or the other wasn't online.

@KrishnShweta yes...

5:51 PM
@Tezz I don't think Adi Shankaracharya ever talks about the Ekayana Shakha. The Ekayana Shakha is mentioned in a lot of scriptures though, like the Chandogya Upanishad. And other Advaitins like Sureshwaracharya mention it.

@KeshavSrinivasan oh ok..
@KeshavSrinivasan vyasa compiles Shakha or not?...

@KrishnShweta - yes u are right :)

@Tezz In Yamunacharya's time there were still followers of Pancharatra who followed the Katyayana Grihya Sutras, which are associated with the Shukla Yajur Veda, because they were families that belonged to the Ekayana Shakha.

@KeshavSrinivasan Are puranas indirectly responsible for this Shaka dying? Why did you support this at end of your answer?
9
A: Why are brahmins represented by names of Vedas?

Keshav SrinivasanTL;DR They basically indicate the occupations that Brahmanas used to have back when they were officiating Vedic Yagnas rather than being temple priests and the like. In order to understand what it means for someone to be a Rig Veda Brahmana and so on, you need to understand the nature of the Ved...

@Tezz Families maintain their association with Shakhas long after the Shakha is lost. Like I belong to the Apastamba Shakha of the Krishna Yajur Veda, even though the Apastamba Shakha is lost.

5:57 PM
@KeshavSrinivasan@Tezz @TheDestroyer - but why material from those lost branches were written on manuscripts or bhurjpatras etc?

@KeshavSrinivasan Aswatthama compiles all 1131 Shakhas in next Chaturyuga or not...?

@TheDestroyer No, the Puranas aren't responsible for the Shakhas dying. But what is true is that the reason that Brahmanas are no longer Yagna priests is that they've transitioned into temple worship.

@Tezz@KeshavSrinivasan@TheDestroyer - what exactly mean by lost , i mean are the people of those branches are no more or just the material?

@TheDestroyer But even being a temple priest still requires chanting the Vedas and all that. So the transition from Yagna priests to temple priests had nothing to do with Brahmanas no longer learning the Vedas. That has more to do with things like Westernization.

@SwiftPushkar lost means the text are not available...

6:00 PM
@SwiftPushkar When I say lost, I mean the text is lost. The people are still there. My family is associated with the Apastamba Shakha, but the text of the Apastamba Shakha is lost.

@Tezz@KeshavSrinivasan - ok

@KeshavSrinivasan so, this is bad. If this is predestined to happen in Kali Yuga, then no use in Vyasa compiling them at end of Dwapara Yuga.
Hard work of Vyasa has no use.

@TheDestroyer Well, it is predestined that as the Kali Yuga progresses, more and more people will become evil and abandon the Vedas. But Vyasa compiled and divided the Vedas for the benefit of those who still want to follow Dharma.

@KeshavSrinivasan are there any chances to revive them back?

@KeshavSrinivasan @TheDestroyer just as we now read Vyasa is incarnation of Vishnu now... people of next Chaturyuga will read Vyasa is incarnation of Shiva... isn't it...?

6:05 PM
@Tezz yes.

@KeshavSrinivasan@Tezz@TheDestroyer -what i think is in every span of time further on , there will be at least some people present who will carry on vedic tradiation. its my hope :)

@Tezz Haha yeah, because Ashwatthama is an incarnation of Shiva.

@KeshavSrinivasan haha...

@KeshavSrinivasan@Tezz@TheDestroyer - but we can also see rising awareness about vedas , puranas and espicially upanishdas , cause lots of vedic schools are continuing tradiations of teaching vedas , in maharastra and all over india

@SwiftPushkar in my view... lost text are already lost... now there will be no loss.. due to electronic preservation in modern time......

6:09 PM
@Tezz I want to know how Aswathama writes Mahabharata. Especially, how he describes krishna during Killing of Upapandavas? He may say like this " due to ignorance and Maya...."

and even indian gov. is also serious abt vedic studies and opening new vedic universities etc

@TheDestroyer I don't think Aswatthama writes Mahabharata...
@TheDestroyer he will write new Itihasa of his era... or he may write about Kalki Avatar..

@Tezz may not write Mahabharata. But he should mention his story.

@TheDestroyer present Mahabharat will be present in some Puranas in shortcut...

@Tezz - yes , i am talking abt future , what u people were discussing abt kaliyuga effects and what keshavSrinivasan said abt decreasing vedic followers etc

6:12 PM
@Tezz but funny thing is he knows he will become Sapta Rishi of Savarni Manvantara.

@TheDestroyer haha...

@TheDestroyer "are there any chances to revive them back?" Are you talking about reviving dead Shakhas? If the text of a Shakha is lost, there's nothing much you can do other than praying that some god will appear and teach it to you. But there are some Shakhas whose text we have but there is no one or almost no one alive who is currently reciting it.
@TheDestroyer The Shankaracharyas are trying to remedy that situation, like the Kanchi Shankaracharya is assigning people who belong to some other Shakha to learn a lost Shakha in order to revive its tradition.

hey all what is "Durmukh Samvasara" wht is mean by durmukh
@KeshavSrinivasan - you are right , its sad we have lost such a great treasure :(

@SwiftPushkar Present year.

Samvatsara are 60... Durmukh is one of the name of Samvatsara...

6:15 PM
@Tezz I think our Vyasa was unusually profilic in writing things like the Mahabharata and Brahma Sutras. I don't think all Vyasa do that. The job of a Vyasa is just to compile the Vedas.

@Tezz durmukhi means ?

Bad faced...

ok but the meaning of "Durmukh" is sad or bad mouth i sppose
why such name ?

Valmiki composed Ramayana too...
It's related to Jyotisha...

@KeshavSrinivasan Puranas also will be compiled by Vyasa i think.

6:17 PM
@KeshavSrinivasan does Ganesh writes in every Chaturyuga... or only for present Vyasa..?

@TheDestroyer Yeah, Puranas also.

I know only one Vyasa. Who are All Vyasas?

@Tezz - ya - very intersting question :)

@Tezz Who is present Vyasa?

Krishna Dwaipayana @KrishnShweta

6:19 PM
@Tezz Ganesha only wRote Mahabharata

@TheDestroyer oh I thought he wrote Puranas too...

@Tezz OK........

@KrishnShweta See my answer here:
5
A: Who all were the different Ved-Vyas?

Keshav SrinivasanAs I discuss in this answer, how the Vedas originated is that from time immemorial, sages known as Dhristas have heard sacred verses directly from the gods during a state of Tapasya (deep meditation). And then in every Dwapara Yuga, a sage called the Veda Vyasa takes this set of mantras and divid...

@TheDestroyer Padma Purana (55 thousand verses) + Skandha Purana (88 thousand verse)... are more than Mahabharata itself...

@KeshavSrinivasan I'll take a look.

6:22 PM
@KrishnShweta hE was born to Matysagandhi alias Satyvati and Parashara muni near Triveni Sangamam in Parayaga..he was born when Parashara was crossing and got tempted by seeing Satyvati... He was thus born on island so, Dwaipayana

hey all what was the very first question asked on hinduism SE

@Tezz The only mention of Ganesha writing anything is in the Adi Parva of the Mahabharata. By the way, I've been to the place where Vyasa dictated the Mahabharata to Ganesha. It's in the last village in India before the Tibet border.

His complexion is black ... so Krishna @KrishnShweta
@KeshavSrinivasan yes I know... you had told before..

i mean on beta

@TheDestroyer @Tezz Okay.

6:24 PM
@SwiftPushkar Here is the first question ever posted on the site:
10
Q: Is there an Orthodox Hinduism?

James JenkinsOrthodoxy in Christianity is the holding to the oldest beliefs. It is of course impossible for the religion not to evolve at all as new questions and there answer have to addressed. The "Orthodox" version is often considered to be the least evolved sect of a religion. Does the concept of Orthod...

@Tezz Skanda is fattest purana.

@SwiftPushkar And here is my first question, which was posted on the same day as that question:

Incarnation of Yuddha Kanda...

13
Q: What are the Avatarams of Vishnu described in the Yuddha Kanda of the Ramayana?

Keshav SrinivasanIn the Yuddha Kanda of the Ramayana, after Rama kills Ravana and rescues his wife Sita, he tells Sita to walk through fire to (to others) prove that she is still faithful to him. She walks through the fire and emerges unharmed, demonstrating her purity of heart. But before she emerges from the ...

I think...

6:25 PM
@Tezz Yeah, you're right.

@KeshavSrinivasan - ohh ok :) its nice

@KrishnShweta BTW , Parashara retained Virginity of Satyvati who married Shantanu later.
Shantanu is great grandfather of Pandava and Kauravas.

@SwiftPushkar That is a question that I had in my head for ten years , but I didn't know anyone knowledgeable enough to answer it. That's one of the reasons I'm so grateful for this site, it's given me an opportunity to try and find answers to my long-standing questions.
@SwiftPushkar Most of my questions are still unanswered though, including that one.

Now I understand why you people say that Ashwathama is the incarnation of Shiva.

@KeshavSrinivasan as Valmiki Ramayana follows Vedic pattern... it is difficult to trace such answers.... like ValmikiRamayana differs in telling burning of Kama by Rudra...

6:29 PM
@KeshavSrinivasan Thanks a lot :)

@Tezz what does it say?

@TheDestroyer Shiva burns Kamadeva after his marriage with Uma...

@KeshavSrinivasan yes :)

@Tezz Yeah. Even i heard this story.

@TheDestroyer so yoi read it on other Puranas too...?...

6:31 PM
@KeshavSrinivasan - you take lots of efforts in questions & lots of research :)

@Tezz No Read somewhere. Even saw in a video. I posted a video of Hara Hara Shankara Trance.. it shows after marriage . Kama tried ro convert Yogic Rudra to Kamic Rudra but failed.

@TheDestroyer what I think is ValmikiRamayana is mentioning story of present Parvati... but still it contradicts other things I think...

@Tezz i actually don't remember what Shiva and Skanda Puranas say.

@KeshavSrinivasan@Tezz@TheDestroyer - there is a saying abut "madhandin shakha" of shukla yajurveda that , at 12 o clock the people of this shakha are not bhramins , how much truth in that ?

@SwiftPushkar I don't know about it..

6:37 PM
@Tezz ok :)

@TheDestroyer @KeshavSrinivasan @KrishnShweta @SwiftPushkar bye all of you... Good Night/ (Day)... I should sleep now... I'm not so well... suffering from Common Cold....

@Tezz ok GN.

@Tezz Take care.

@Tezz - yes , same to you bro :) TC GN see you

@KrishnShweta BtW, Along with each Vyasa shiva also takes avatar to Teach Yoga to people of Kali Yuga.
3
A: As per Shiva Purana what are the 28 avatars Shiva said to Brahma?

The DestroyerChapter 4 and 5 of Satarudrasamhita of Shiva Purana describes the 28 Avatars of Shiva. Shiva takes these avatars at end of every Dvapara Yuga with Vyasa to teach Yoga techniques for people of Kali Yuga. He will have 4 disciples in each Yuga and these disciples teach the people of Kali Yuga and h...

6:43 PM
@TheDestroyer - Rsabha (well known Avatar of Shiva) - i think some one asked this question on this site

@SwiftPushkar yeah.Tezz

@TheDestroyer So Ashwathama will come in front of us?
