@TheDestroyer yesterday we were discussing of Vamana Purana statement about Shiva cutting 5th head of Brahma.. actually Shiva Purana also says it "Siva, displeased with the fifth head, cut it off. The skull remained stuck fast to Siva's hand, and though he was capable of burning it up, Siva wandered the earth with it for the sake of all people, until he came to Benares." -- Siva Purana, Jnanasamhita 49:65-80."
It's taken from this question..hinduism.stackexchange.com/questions/598/…
@TheDestroyer So, it looks like.. for some Brahmas Shiva does that work through KalaBhairava.. and for some Brahmas he does himself...

11:11
This was my google home page today.
@SreeCharan Happy birthday
@Tezz This time Godavari.
BTW, see Matsya Purana.
What's the meaning of Apsaraayuga? OP related this to something else.
I'm pretty sure Godavari originated near Nashik in Dandakaranaya.
"Apsuoyuga is known as Apsua, which flows from Kal(Shiva)Pokhari towards Gautamitat (Intersection of Barun and Arun river). There is no river that flows towards Gautamitat coming from current Godavari."
11:31
@TheDestroyer - found the answer :)
@SwiftPushkar Which answer?
@SreeCharan - Many happy returns of the day :) @TheDestroyer - Godawari , still will take some time but finished writing sanskrit verses , lets see wht happens
@SwiftPushkar I can Substantiate it but waiting to confirm what Apsaraayuga means?
@SwiftPushkar I will also post comprehensive answer.
@TheDestroyer - ok , this whole name thing is not right , i mean how can we will be able to know this river is called this etc.
@TheDestroyer - also IMO Op should provide some visual ref. also so that the question could be more understandable
@SwiftPushkar yeah. We can check local name and Sanskrit name. In some languages, Sanskrit name is retained while in some cases it won't.
11:47
@TheDestroyer - yes , same river is called by different names in different geographical regions , some rivers merge with some others & names changes , some dry out in summer etc.
12:27
@TheDestroyer- check out the answer , tell me is it correct or not @Tezz
12:39

@TheDestroyer See varaha purana chapter 71, shloka 38, It is clearly states that godavari originates at dandakaranya.
OP is quoting half verses. I am getting annoyed by his posts.
16:48
@SreeCharan Yeah. But i want to refute them by quoting verses he mentioned. Really, his questions are bit annoying.
@TheDestroyer I searched for matsya purana online but didn't find it.
