@TheDestroyer No, I'm not sure whether the Srimad Bhagavatam has multiple recensions or not. Many other Puranas have multiple recensions. Like the Skanda Purana has a Southern recension which is the basis of a lot of the stories related to Muruga's Aaru Padai Veedu.

@KrishnShweta - my tab is having 3.5 mm audio jack for output to headphone , can i connect that jack to my music system 5.1 ,how to give output from my tab to my music system , is it possible?

Sep 11 at 6:47, by Keshav Srinivasan
@Tezz I think it's possible that there's more than one recension of the Srimad Bhagavatam, just like other Puranas have multiple recensions.

@KrishnShweta - i want to hear "you tube" stotras on my music system

@Tezz "I chanced to come across a rare palmleaf manuscript of Bhagavata in Subrahmanya Mutt at Subrahmanya, A cursory reading of the book ensured me that there were so many readings which differed from the printed and normally accepted readings. Thereupon I collected two more palmleaf manuscripts of Bhagavata from Subrahmanya Mutt and two others from Pejavara Mutt. I tried to collate all the different readings"

@Tezz lol. Why did he say different things?

4:44 PM

@TheDestroyer Here is one thing that may be explained by different recensions of the Srimqd Bhagavatam:

Q: Where does Srimad Bhagavatam book 10 describe Krishna's son Upashloka and Pancharatra initiation?

Keshav SrinivasanAs I discuss in this answer, one of the early movements that was important to the development of Vaishnavism was the ancient Pancharatra movement, whose sacred texts consisted of detailed procedures to worship the sage Narayana, an ancient incarnation of Vishnu. Since the Pancharatra texts origin...

@Tezz By the way, I edited my crane question:

Q: What scriptures say that female cranes can conceive from the sound of thunder?

Keshav SrinivasanAs I discuss in this question, by far the most popular school of Hindu philosophy is the Vedanta school, which bases its tenets on the doctrines laid out in the Brahma Sutras, a work by the sage Vyasa that summarizes and systematizes the philosophical teachings of the Upanishads. You can read the...

@Tezz It seems that Kalidasa and Buddhaghosa also said the same thing about female cranes. So this seems to have been a common belief in ancient India.
@Tezz The statement about Buddhaghosa is especially strange: "No less influential a systematizer than Buddhaghosa can proclaim with a straight face that a woman can get pregnant by looking at a man; or by hearing, like the balaka bird who gets pregnant by hearing thunder; or by smell, like the cow who gets pregnant by smelling the breath of a bull."
