@RebeccaJ.Stones I guess it will be tomorrow. Here, we have two schools: one that goes by vision of crescent, and the other uses a mathematical approach.
@RebeccaJ.Stones You are correct. I have been trying to write an answer for the past two days based on a very similar case presented to Ibn Taymiyyah that he responded to in Majmu' al-Fatwa al-Kubra, but I can't write an answer without it being a form of advice.

@RebeccaJ.Stones You made a comment that it is a personal problem with "...from an Islamic point of view" stuck on the end. Not easy to answer without having the answer become an advice, rather than an Islamic view.

i think maybe really it was not unclear, but true/real reason for moderators were the large amount of links, but they are ashamed to uncover that.
