Sincere? I don't have reason to doubt it. Yes they are sincere.
Do I agree with all the actions they take and their opinions? No.
My earlier mentioned (in the chatroom) edit approval is one of them.

if i see a post that i think needs to be deleted, i shouldn't be allowed to delete it even though any other high-rep user can? if i see a post that i think needs to be edited, i shouldn't be allowed to edit it even though any other high-rep user can? that doesn't make any kind of sense.
