@TiagoCardoso Hi Tiago, these tags are a way to help filter posts by topic, so if you're interested in questions about the pmp cert, this tag should have everything you need. However, there is also a capm tag for the lesser certification the PMI offers:

We don't have as many, but the same concept applies, if I'm only interested in questions about the CAPM because I don't have the requirements for the PMP, then I can filter out all of the noise.

Thus, I'm not sure merging them all would be a good move. However, depending on the content of the PMI questions, maybe they do in fact belong under PMP, CAPM, or some other tag. I'd say keeping the more granular tags would be more helpful in searches and filtering.

As for tools and pm-software... I have a list here of tags that I've thought warrant a discussion regarding their removal:

I have to say, I'm still confused by the difference between tools and pm-software. Should we make them a synonym or just outright merge?

One thing to remember, each question can have up to 5 tags, and many questions don't come close to maxing that out, so we actually have a lot of breathing room in terms of growth without needing to use broader tags.
