Apple should really make applications that auto start more transparent. Login Items is basically useless as most applications just create a LaunchAgent/LaunchDaomons and they don't show up in System Prefs. For example, spotify does this. Applications should also need explicit permission to be able to autoopen. Similar to "this application wants to access your camera" there should be "this applications wants to start "<AppName>" on login"

I'm fine with allowing some customization to the prompt, "this is used to run background checks".
