Mac Mail is so damn broken, I am praying that the Catalyst version isn't just a new UI and actually works properly

P.S. Why does it take years to remove one line of code that is causing so much grief for all their customers. Specifically this line:

if(anyAccountsHaveAnAuthError()){
   makeAMailWindowInteruptTheUserFromEverythingTheyAreDoingAndAnnoyTheShitOutOfThem();
}

(and don't ask how i got Mac Mail source code, I have my ways)

@JBis I recently edited an answer on a post about that to add that: give mail its own desktop. Toss in Spotify too :)

If you found a solution you can also post an answer yourself. When doing so make it's complete and can be reproduced by others with the information in your answer (so "I did as proposed in the comments and it worked" isn't an answer :-))
