@nohillside RE: "It works with relative paths, not with absolute ones. May still be worth posting it though" -- With the open command having the -r option and an already accepted and correct answer IMO it should remain deleted.

@user3439894 Well, don't know about you but I learned something from that deleted answer. And it does most likely answer the question. We usually don't delete or even downvote answers if better ones come along

@nohillside, The original answer had issues as written, had it be edited to be accurate that's a different story altogether. Even the second answer, while it correctly used the 'open' command by implement the '-r' option, was incomplete until I edited it by quoting relevant parts of the question asked by the OP and adding and example using the 'fzf' command. The irony of it is I actually had an answer ready to post that was what the accepted answer ended up being after I edited it.
He just posted a few seconds ahead of me, so I edited his instead of posting mine.

/.. is a common trick in CMake. I expected bash to work like that too.
As for keeping or deleting the answer, thanks for your suggestion. I decided to undelete it.
