A: What is the (calculus-identities) tag intended for?

Martin SleziakI suggest to remove the tag calculus-identities. With the empty tag-info (and no suggestion for the scope of this tag in this discussion) the tag is very likely to be used inconsistently and it is rather questionable whether it is going to be useful. (It would be different matter if somebody sugg...

This question has ben around some time, I do not think that we get more feedback than that. So I have accedpted the only answer (it is at score 9 now).
@quid I suppose in this case the removal of the tag has to be done manually. (There are 30 questions in this tag.) Or do you think that merging into could work for some part of those question? (In this way we would reduce the number of questions that are going to be bumped.)

@MartinSleziak I think a reasonable proportion can be merged; merging is easy enough. I'd remove from those where makes no sense at all, and merge the rest. If you would do the first, and ping me, I could do the second rapidly.

Thanks for the response. I'll try to do some retags. (As much as I can - I have limited internet connection now.)

@quid Maybe for some of them it is a stretch, but I'd say that the remaining questions either already have the (calculus) tag or it can replace the (calculus-identities) tag: math.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/…
There are now 12 questions tagged and 7 of them do not have calculus tag.
These are relatively small numbers - probably the retagging can be finished manually, at least if there are some other possible improvements to those posts.
Still, merging would save at least a few bumps.
