@MartinSleziak Yes I flagged it with off topic, I have a dozen or so more declined flags that I don't understand.
@MartinSleziak Should I create a "reduction-of-integrals" tag ?
The question do appear on the hot meta questions list but attracted very little attention, what will happen to my tags if this trend continues ?

@A---B As I wrote, most likely declined from the review. You can find the results of the close vote review if you look at the timeline of the post.
If you have a flag you want to ask about, Math Mods' Office might be a reasonable place. Or you can ask on meta - you can find several similar questions if you look at posts tagged .
@A---B As I wrote before, if you want to create a new tag, probably the best way to go would be to propose the new tag in the tag management thread first. And then decide whether to create it depending on how the proposal is received.
If you post there, do not forget to explain what the tag is intended form. (From the name reduction-of-integrals, I do not really know what the meaning of the tag is. Is it for Integration by reduction formulae?)

4:47 AM
@MartinSleziak Yes for integration by reduction formulae.

As I said before, whenever you are not sure whether or not a new tag should be created, it might be reasonable to ask on meta. And the tag management thread is a good place for proposals of new tags.
@A---B I would not say that 100 views and score +6 is too little attention. At least compared to other questions about .
I think that it is too soon to say. Still it is possible that there will be more answers added by other users. And that more users will vote. I would wait at least 14 days - which is the time when the post is shown in the before making any conclusions.
But discussions about tags (and discussions on meta in general) often take quite a long time before they are resolved. You can see that there are several unresolved issues from 2016 tag-management thread.
Anyway, if the voting stays as it is currently, then personally I would consider it inconclusive. (Which would probably mean that the tags and are not going to be removed.)

@hardmath From our discussion above it seems that you support tags for individual theorems. Do you plan to make an answer on the meta question about this? (One of the reasons that I ask is that A---B asked in tagging chat room what happens with the tags they created.)
We will see whether hardmath will post an answer. (But at least they made some comments on the post on meta.)
More answers could bring more attention to the questions.

Am I correct that "book-recommendation" is a subset of reference-request (since when on uses the former tag, it is suggested in the tag description that one should also include the latter tag. But not vice-versa, if I am correct?
I am asking this, because I'm wondering whether book-recommendation be subsumed as a synonym of reference-request. So the tag "book recommendation" will remain, but when "used" it will appear as "reference request"?

Yes, it is subset, but it should not be a synonym.
It was created with the explicit intention to have a tag separate from . See here: Do we need a tag for Books?

Okay, perhaps we should work on making the distinction, because the "reference-request" describes a request for external link to (books, articles, etc, etc). Thanks for the link,

That link sure doesn't look like any sort of community consensus on making the new tag, in which you encouraged the OP to create the tag, and its "wiki", and your thanks for the OP having done so. I get what you think, @MartinSleziak, you've made that clear. I came here to offer a suggestion, that's all. Your response was "but it should not be a synonym" and a link to a proposal for a new tag which hardly demonstrates any community consensus, only the consensus of a handful of users.
Besides, @MartinSleziak, that discussion took place on meta almost 4 years ago. So why not be willing to revisit the question?
I don't care whether you write-off a tag suggestion from ME. But consider being a little less authoritarian when answering to users, here. There are much more friendly ways to deal with folks, than how you just dealt with me and my suggestion.

@amWhy I would really call score 7 (+12/-5) a consensus. It is definitely many more than posts about tag usually get.
By definition, every voting on meta is "consensus of a handful of users" to user your wording.
Of course, feel free to make a new post on meta or suggest tag-synonym if you have some reason to do so.

Of course...you're right and I'm wrong, and I'm sorry for commenting here, but my intentions were only to be helpful.

I don't know what to say to your last message.

Personally I think that the synonym $\to$ would make those tags less useful, but of course, I might be wrong.
And after all, the whole system is slowly falling apart, so it probably does not matter that much.
