The tag-excerpt and tag-info for (configuration-spaces) has been created.
"Configuration spaces refer to topological spaces that consist of ordered or unordered subsets of a topological space, of a given (finite) cardinality."
In Wikipedia article I also see another meaning: "In classical mechanics, the parameters that define the configuration of a system are called generalized coordinates, and the vector space defined by these coordinates is called the configuration space of the physical system"
I'd guess that the two are related. (And I would not have problem with tag being used for either of them.)
The reason why I think it is good to have some usage guidance in the tag-info is that configuration is very common words, so users might start putting tag to questions which are about any kind of configurations, totally unrelated to the common meanings of the phrase configuration space.
I see that there already is tag-info. I just wanted to say thank you for taking your time to do this. Feel free to ping me in chat or here to let me know that you've seen the comment - I will then remove my comments so that only comments relevant to the actual question and not to tag-related issues stay here.) — Martin Sleziak 49 secs ago
