@A---B If you prefer, one of us could make a post on meta asking about this (i.e., about tags for theorem from calculus) to see whether there is a consensus in Math.SE community.
The older question about mean value theorem suggests that such tag should be avoided. However, the question is less general and it is possible - laso not very probable - that since it was posted three years ago the opinions have changed.
Since you mentioned , the tag has been removed (and then synonymized), see meta. However, I believe that one has been (originally) created by Harsh Kumar.
BTW absolute necessary is rather strong wording, but we should try to create only tags which can be really useful. (Or at least not harmful.)

Q: How the quotient group of following matrix group looks like?

Kushal Bhuyan Consider the following subsets of the group of $2\times 2$ non-singular matrices over $\mathbb{R}$: $G=\left\{ \begin{bmatrix}a&b\\ 0&d\end{bmatrix}: a,b,d\in \mathbb{R}, ad=1\right\}$ $H=\left\{ \begin{bmatrix}1&b\\ 0&1\end{bmatrix}: b\in \mathbb{R}\right\}$ Which of the followin...

Q: Should we have a tag for (quotient-groups)?

Martin SleziakI think that quotient groups are relatively important topic and we certainly have some questions about them. We do have tags for normal-subgroups and for quotient-spaces. As far as the importance of the topic and frequency of questions asked here on MSE are concerned, I'd say that these concepts ...

The tag-info is empty at the moment.
