BTW I thought that when a mod creates a synonym, the votes from users are not needed. (As per moderator's votes are binding.)
@PedroTamaroff: FYI, when a moderator suggests a synonym, that synonym is made. — Arthur Fischer ♦ 1 hour ago

I have noticed that recently Grigory M and Arthur Fischer updated status of several items in Tag cleanup 2014. Are there some unresolved issues also in the older one - Tag merging and synonyms?

@MartinSleziak For my part, I was just responding to some flags that had been raised on answers in that question. I actually wouldn't mind seeing that thread disappear now (maybe transfer some of the more popular unresolved issues to the new thread).

@ArthurFischer You mean like deleting the old thread? I think that some discussions form that thread should stay on the site. (I suppose they are already linked several times.)

@MartinSleziak Oh, no. Not deleting. Falling off the front page and never being bumped again would suffice.

The only unresolved thing I see among the answers having score at least +3 is suggestion to make a synonym of .

A: Tag merging and synonyms

Willie WongDo we really need normal-distribution, geometric-distribution, and probability-distributions as three separate tags?

But I don't think that such a large change (the tag has more than 1k questions) should be made based on a few upvotes in a rather old thread.
And I am not sure whether an answer with score 2 or less can be considered a consensus.
I guess that the post in these two old threads are either resolved or no consensus reached.

Q: What is the point in banalize someone in the chat room?

TomásToday, I saw the chatroom: In praise of Math.SE site and its users. I started to read it, because it is really interesting, however, in the middle of my reading I found this. I know I give a poor contribution to MSE, however, I do not think that it is fair make jokes about me. So my question: I...

And maybe would not be completely off-topic there ;-)
As mentioned before on MO they have some user-based tags.
Maybe somebody, who knows English grammar better then me, should correct the title (if needed). Should it be: What is the point of banalizing? Or: What is the point in banalizing? Or is the current version of the title grammatically correct?
