hm, does it work, that right clicking?
maybe that's better du -sh ./
or
du -sh directory
directory more likely is .git so - du -sh ./,git
mc helps to drop directory names byt pressing alt+enter
but generally nice is it does, but man that a complicated readme, looking at it now - why can't I do things simple hm ))

no, the code is probably as simple as it can be. you just don't realize how complex it is until you explain it to someone else.
if i right click on the .git folder and then click properties, in ubuntu, it shows me how big that folder is. right now it is 63 MB.
that folder is the bulk of the size of the whole thing, and the part that comes from all the previous commits, right? so, it's the one you are reducing, you can just check its size.

yes, correct
as commands and script is operated from a console, it is maybe easier to use that du command, quite handy
