not really a great fit, but i would like to have all those options on my editor
with fiddling, i could probably get most of them
For now, I am content with stacking my editor to the left on the screen and a browser to the right.

also, i look at that project and wonder how much of it is tapped straight from atom editor, which is under an MIT license.
i suppose that is a good thing if it means things are energetically developed, as long as there is always a free option.

@kimholder How did you become room owner of the pod bay anyway?
it was done automatically, thanks to always being there and talking an awful lot
so, you are aware of the slang meaning of 'ho' as it would be pronounced according to your nickname?
(i couldn't resist letting stand the comment that maybe you wouldn't want to use that phrase)
Is there any combination of less than five letters at all that is not a slang for anything?
well, it is slang in America for 'whore'. i believe it started in the black community and worked its way out to the general public.
when it is just Hoh, it doesn't really come across, but when you then add Lazy in front of it, i think a lot of people would make the association
21:41
Ok
i mean, it is sort of funny, but it could get out of hand :P
you know how it is...
as long as you are aware that association might be made
This fits perfectly wit the "slavs squatting" meme :)
interesting, i do that all the time
it's quite comfortable
Then this is maybe or maybe not the subreddit for you :P reddit.com/r/slavs_squatting
Here is some more serious news though: Tsyklon-4M prepares a move to Canada
oh, that would be hugely cool if they do that.
but, i wonder why it makes sense for them... are they not welcome in the United States?
21:50
Yes.
really? how short sighted.
a far-north launch site, huh? yeah, for high inclinations, that would certainly work well.
wait - nova scotia? really?
Yup!
The near equator idea is mostly only usable for manned spacecraft and GEO satellites.
That is the reason behind the Plesetsk-Baikonur split.
Guysborough... i bet it's beautiful there...
45 degrees north
A little more south than Baikonur then
Well, almost exactly the same, only a 14' difference.
Though it is a little larger in reality as Baikonur launches are a little to the north to avoid China
property would be cheap around there
they aren't kidding, nova scotia's economy has struggled as long as i can remember, and now there are no more fish
22:01
On the map it looks like costal Norway except without oil.
"Guysborough cosmodrom" ;)
but if spacex has a reusable first stage, can their price remain competitive?
that is still a significant if, but spaceports are expensive
i suppose their selling point could be reliability
see, i am a big enough space fan that it ran through my mind if i might like to live in nova scotia if there started to be a real space industry there.
it sure would be a hell of a lot easier to pay for a house there than anywhere in southern ontario.
A Yurt in central Asia is even more affordable
:] that is very similar to what ran through my mind after that.

ok. the timeline is done. boy is it long.
i think it is worth it... it gave me lots of ideas about how to develop the models of the colonies
and i'm hopeful it will create a useful structure for people who want to create stories within the virtual colonies
(such as me, if i ever have time)
i think it helps it all sort of hang together and feel like a real place.
ok - now i do my pilates exercises from that old dvd :]
