hadn't heard of this site before. looks like they have a lot of good stuff. "World’s largest Science, Technology & Medicine Open Access book publisher.
Publish, read & share novel research."

2 hours later…
....oh. Gee, how interesting that the services listed for that high fee don't include 'peer review'.

9:32 PM
yes, correct. I guess per reviewing could be done differently, have seen in academia.se some questions on that topic so you might get that for free by asking.

if they do a good job at editing formatting and such, the price can be justified, when it is required, and assuming editors are focusing on scientific papers and have general sufficient background for that kind of work.
But that all does not matter, sci-hub is up and back, embrace the access

yay!
so, the address i'd posted is not the one for sci-hub? you have to go to sci-hub.io?

totally missed that thing, did you seen it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CA%BBOumuamua
an asteroid from outer space, shaped like space ship, with relatively close flyby(60 l.s)

Yeah, i saw that. really cool.

yes, .io, slash doi get paper

the article i saw about its shape said they estimated a ratio of 10 to 1, length to diameter, based on fluctuations in its light. But they pointed out that unless it was rotating exactly around an axis perpendicular to us, actually its ratio of length to diameter would be higher than that, maybe a lot.

9:41 PM

a Spear of Zeus :D
