@tony What I heard is legally possible is the following. Vance runs for president, with Trump as his vice. Once elected, Vance abdicates.
@tony Or it could simply be the usual bluster that is part of Trump's normal negotiation techniques.
If I don't get what I want, I turn up the pressure, see whether that works.

@cmw Another coup? He's tried that once. Wasn't it a police officer who killed five of Trump's acolytes, helping to thwart the coup? If this happens again, it's inconceivable that the military would not get involved. I've sometimes thought that the US is a military society cleverly disguised as a democracy. The order of power: military; big business; president...but that's just me.
@cmw Lethal force on peaceful protestors? That news hasn't reached here yet.

@Adam I recall the family being wheeled out after the inauguration--a mafia clan. A dynasty in the offing?
@Cerberus I hadn't thought of that one! Adam may well be right, he'll try to pass the baton to the next generation of his clan. That, or he may have to be carried out of the white house again. Why does he keep insulting Biden, has he not recovered from 2020 yet? How dare anyone actually beat him at something. He used to do this with Hilary Clinton. There's enough material there for a psychiatric text book.
@Cerberus Currently he wants Ukraine's mineral resources but Zelensky's not playing ball. What happened to the arch negotiator?!
Joonas: What happened to your comment on applauding? I was going to ask you if you were applauding the end of democracy.
