@tony No, I'm not ready to change the subject yet. What do you think about the matter of properly citing Wikipedia? The discussion isn't worth much if you're not willing to dig into one of the key issues that were unraveled. This is actually a great example of you trying to dodge a question!
@d_e Can you post that as answer instead of a comment, as it answers the question? It doesn't have to be any longer than what you have now, and it doesn't matter that there's another answer. We regularly delete answers posted in comments. — Joonas Ilmavirta ♦ 12 secs ago
@tony Yes, indeed. I left a comment.

@JoonasIlmavirta Are you still talking about Brian? There is a ref. to Wiki at the end of the question, latin.stackexchange.com/a/13207/1982.

@tony I'm much more interested in what happens in the future than trying to improve that old answer. Do you see the points I and cmw and brianpck are trying to make? Do you understand why (or agree with) I find your response to brianpck out of line? Is there anything you plan to do differently in the future? These are not rhetorical questions; I would much like to hear your thoughts on this topic.

@JoonasIlmavirta Of course; more attention to attestations; admitting when the answer is unknown, at least to me. What if a translation is a piece of inspiration? The necessity then must be to explain the grammatical constructions. The Brian thing was the only time I didn't credit a source.

@tony Perfect, thanks! That sounds like a good way forward.
