One thing politicians hate is their predecessors breathing down their necks. In the US & UK, there is a tradition that ex-Presidents & PMs do not comment on or interfere with their successors.

@tony I don't know what evidence the jury saw, but here in the court of public opinion I think he just got away with murdering three people. Pretty sure that wouldn't have happened if he had been anything other than white.

@Adam: Agreed. His presence, as a civilian, with a gun provoked the very situation from which he claims he had to defend himself.

@tony It is rare, but sometimes the police have to shoot when people use serious violence against them.

I think they were throwing fireworks and bricks and whatnot, and there weren't enough policemen because this wasn't expected.
