as i believe i mentioned earlier, at some point i'd like to do a series on computers and college

the amount of duplicate versions I have of my thesis, its ridiculous

things like how to select a computer for college, what you should do to keep it safe, how to handle organizing and backing up lots of data, etc.

version control, that's what they should teach them at the first project

i have a friend who typesets all his papers using LaTeX, and runs GIT on his webserver, then just checks in all his papers into version control

it would be cool if all of us in college (@studiohack, @KronoS, and whoever else wants) collaborated on a series like that

I've striped a pair of old HDD's together, and with a bit of symlink seem to have sped up loading in at least the game or two that I've tested it with so far

thought I'd test properly, and see if a worthwhile blog post pops out the other end :)

Cool I'm excited... Really glad about the attention we're getting on the blog now... makes my pressure a bit less on getting posts out...
