@Wipqozn regardless my question you added a bounty to... I am pretty torn.
One of the answers shows effort and has at least pointed out a possible reference to the issue. Yet, it is unclear if said account is about the Megadrive version of the game played on a Japanese console or the Master System version played on a Megadrive using the official adapter. So, it doesn't prove much.
The other one is a new user popping in to basically say "yes, it happened to me" with any real proof beside their words. I don't want to be rude, but it feels suspicious to say "just trust me bro" about 12 hours before the bounty ends.
Wishing for "food" gets either "Failed" or "You got food" (always(?) 1 portion of meat?).
But wishing for anything else seems to yield only "No effect":
