Q: Do all collected coins count to the overall statistic in Super Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?

I can collect coins on the track and collect coins via the special item in the ?-boxes. Let's say I have already 10 coins collected (the maximum) on a track and collect more coins on it. Do these count to the total statistic? Do they count if I leave the track without finishing it? Do coins count...

Occult necklace: +12 mage attack, +5% mage strength - mage focus
Necklace of anguish: +15 range attack, +5 range strength - range focus
Amulet of fury: +15s defense - decent all-around
Dragonbone necklace: +12 prayer - prayer focused

I like that occult's old damage number (+10%) is just so busted that that's all they gave this thing

The ring from this boss is the exact same stats as the amulet, except only 5% mage strength
