Do yourself a favor and don't accidentally move in there with your last move like I did.

@Sterno You can actually lure the enemies out of the UFO if you're careful.

Which is probably easier to deal with than going inside. You can just sit most of your units behind cover and then destroy the aliens as they funnel out.

Q: How do I recover from internal bleeding?

Apparently, during an epic battle with a barefoot looter in NEO Scavenger, I ended up with a broken rib and some internal bleeding. Fortunately for me, I took the Medical perk at the start of the game! There's just one small problem, I have no idea how that perk will help me with fractured bones...

Everything else is what medkits are for, and at Medic level 3, even permanent damage isn't permanent!

I think it's time I invested in heavier armor. @SaintWacko's the only one with Medium, so far.

@Brian My parents (where I was living most of the time) had dialup, so I needed an ISP for that, but I did the actual acquisition and test at my SO's house, where there was only a VOIP line. There was also the small matter of convincing the dude at Radio Shack that I needed a laptop that could connect to a 56K modem...mind you, I suspect that's what I get for buying it at Radio Shack. (This was 2007? 2008? something like that.)

HOLY FUCKING SHIT WHAT A LOAD OF BOLLOCKS

So our university labs went Citrix.

That means that the computer themselves, when booted under Windows, are completely on lockdown. All you can do is open Internet Explorer and log in to your program list.

You log in, open a program, watch a progress bar load and the program "opens."

What really happens is that a virtual machine opened up with your program in "seamless" mode and the seams are all over the fucking place.

For example for the lab I've stopped giving a fuck about now was supposed to have us open a bunch of *.dat and *.mod from our newest fucking useless content management system

where downloading a file, the whole fucking point of having the website to begin with, takes an average of five clicks per file.

Except of course you cannot save the files to anywhere because that would save the file to the actual hardware

so 1. the virtual machine wouldn't see it and 2. you can't do it anyway because fucking everything is locked down

like you can't arrange two windows side by side because you can't right click on any part of the taskbar at all how is that even a thing

so, to unfuck this whole load of bollocks

you open a program GUSEK, some kind of retarded IDE for linear optimization that uses Comic Sans for comments

and under Tools there's an item that opens you a fucking console on the fucking virtual machine.

Now you can launch internet explorer from there and download files and save them somewhere and change their extension so that WINDOWS FUCKING MEDIA PLAYER does not open them instead.

All you need to download a file is a fucking degree in Engineering of Computer Systems.

...or you can choose to boot CentOS 5 and actually use the fucking computer on the fucking table like a normal human fucking being and party like it's 2007.

All of this is ignoring the other, smaller load of bollocks that is accessing the content management system to begin with.

Hear me out, to do that you open a new tab and open the website. Which brings you to a message page that says you need to login. Fair enough.

So you log in.

"Log out succeeded." Obviously.

So you refresh.

"Log in required." DUH.

So you log in.

"You can now navigate."

And it doesn't work.

To make it work you need to open a popup and keep it open, which is obviously why popups are blocked to begin with.

You know what's a way to get around this smaller load of bollocks? You can simply open internet explorer from the command line from Gusek from Citrix! EASY!
