We should adopt a policy that WoW/MMO answers must post the current patch they are valid for, then Users can decide for themselves if the answer is still relevant.
There are a few other games that develop a lot and could use the same policy. Team fortress comes to mind as having lots of changes in a relatively short time.
I think that is a good idea, because even though some patches may alter certain answers, some of the core information may still be helpful, but the version tag could help them make that decision.
